Procurement Category Specialist
Procurement Category Specialist (s) for an expanding strategic purchasing team located in Birmingham; requiring key skills across:
- Delivery of allocated individual targets for savings, activity based income, contracted spend, savings validation
- Develop category expertise in FM or Professional Services
- Manage allocated category and associated projects within the workplan
- Continual identification of new workplan opportunities
- Development of category strategies which maximise value for customers and income for the organisation
- Pro-active management of allocated portfolio of contracts and their renewals
- Ongoing pro-active supplier and market management
- Engagement with customers – ensure timely responses to customer enquiries and provide specialist advice as required
- Develop and support global sourcing opportunities
- Monitor contract uptake & compliance; rectify issues to maximise income
- Ongoing communication of key opportunities to Account Management
- Lead and maintain Category stakeholder groups
- Undertake benchmarking to prove Best Market Pricing
- Ensure quality documentation produced throughout the Gateway / Procurement process e.g. strategy documents, OJEU notices, PQQs, ITTs, award documentation
