Location: Swindon 

£23 – £25K + pension, Bupa, 25 days holiday, flexible benefits , CIPS £unding

Our client is a business that’s pioneering the development and use of renewable energy sources. You’ll be an integral member of the Procurement Back Office Systems team, which optimises the procurement of goods and services by aligning with teams from across the Group.

Reporting to the Back Office Systems Team Leader, you’ll take on accountability for producing the reporting framework against which the Procurement function measures its performance in terms of Group and specific targets:

  • Actively driving improvements to our performance, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a Procurement Infrastructure Strategy.
  • You’ll also maintain the systems that support the infrastructure – from specification design input, through implementation, to delivering training and providing advice to users.
  • Playing a key role in the coordination of resources, you’ll work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, taking a respectful approach to prioritising and solving issues, and sharing ideas for enhanced delivery.
  • Highly literate and numerate, you’ll be working towards CIPS membership (as we see this as a career development opportunity to progress within our organisation)
  • Naturally, you’ll have a strong understanding of procurement principles, policy and processes, and the operation of large procurement organisations.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, diverse customers and senior stakeholders in a complex environment is essential.

You’ll have confident Excel and Access database skills, relevant procurement analyst experience ie. mapping workflow and process flows

Also some knowledge of the procurement aspects of SAP KP1 would be advantageous.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital as this is a high profile internal customer engagement role.
